Rinco Ultrasonics AG is a leading international provider of ultrasonic welding solutions for plastics and packaging materials. As part of the Crest Group, the company is headquartered in Switzerland and operates worldwide – with subsidiaries, production sites and customers in over 15 countries. However, the existing ERP system could no longer keep pace with this dynamic growth.
With the existing ERP system, important processes such as production, purchasing, warehousing and sales were not sufficiently networked. Each country worked differently, data was hardly comparable and there was a lack of transparency in day-to-day business. The result: high manual effort, media disruptions and increasing susceptibility to errors. Not a viable basis for a company with global aspirations. The goal? A lean, centrally controllable solution that works internationally – and fits locally.

A central ERP that understands local requirements
Rinco wanted to continue to grow – but on a stable IT basis. The reality was that each subsidiary worked with its own systems and processes. Data from purchasing, production, sales and warehousing could only be compared with a great deal of manual effort. There was a lack of a common understanding of the system.
Together with ANG, Rinco decided to introduce SAP Business One – supplemented by suitable industry solutions for production. The aim was to transfer all locations and departments to a uniform system landscape – without losing the special features of the local markets. ANG supported not only the technical implementation, but also change management, training and process design.
Special focus was placed on:
the end-to-end mapping of the international supply chain
standardization of central processes (purchasing, warehousing, production, shipping)
real-time access to relevant company data – worldwide
a sustainable basis for future site expansions

ANG implemented and supported the project. They supported us and showed us how we could improve our processes and how to use SAP Business One. ANG suggested the introduction of Beas Manufacturing. This enabled us to plan resources better, we can give our customers an exact delivery date and we have more transparency in terms of costs. ELO was used for data management, which we use to implement all our projects internally.
