#IT System Administrator (m/f/d) - Hesse

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a full-time (38.5 hours) IT System Administrator (m/f/d) for our location in Giessen, who will work with experienced colleagues to manage and further develop sophisticated IT infrastructures.
Your role in the team
- You administer and support virtualization environments based on Proxmox, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware
- You plan, operate and optimize firewall and network infrastructures in existing IT environments
- You are responsible for the administration, monitoring and further development of backup solutions (e.g. Veeam or Proxmox Backup Server)
- You support the migration and modernization of Microsoft Exchange environments
- You analyze and resolve faults as part of 1st and 2nd level support and are the direct contact person for our customers
- You support the planning, implementation and documentation of IT projects
- You identify optimization potential in existing IT environments and implement measures to continuously improve the infrastructure
What you should bring with you
- You have professional experience in the administration of Windows server environments and IT infrastructures
- You have experience with virtualization technologies such as Proxmox, Hyper-V or VMware
- You have knowledge of networks, firewalls and IT security
- Ideally, you have experience with backup and recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam)
- You work in a structured, solution-oriented and independent manner
- You are a strong communicator and enjoy communicating directly with customers
- You have a very good command of written and spoken German
- You have an apprenticeship in IT systems integration, a degree in IT or a comparable qualification
